Rutten Media (978.266.3792 or peter@ruttenmedia.com) was founded on a simple premise: Running a profitable business means creating, living, and telling a powerful story to investors, the public, customers, partners, vendors, employees, the media, governments, and competitors.

The story is part of the product. Whether it's an ad, a brochure, a business plan, a Web site, a logo, or a press release, it's the story that builds the comfort levels on which a deal or purchase can be completed. The story must be compelling, consistent, and goal-oriented.

Distilling the story and turning it into a business tool is what we call "packaging." Rutten Media provides extremely fast, affordable, and effective packaging services to businesses, media companies, and individuals.

Rutten Media was founded by Peter Rutten.

Rutten was the founder of HardWired, Inc., Wired's publishing company; creator—with Michael Wolff—of the hugely successful NetGuide series and of CMP's NetGuide magazine; co-founder—with Louis Rossetto—of Electric Word, the predecessor of Wired magazine; and founder and editor of O Magazine, a general interest monthly. He is also a co-author of several non-fiction books.
